 Anna began playing tennis at the age of 5; both parents were athletes in the USSR's state-run sports program.

At the age of 9 Anna became the youngest client ever signed by the International Management Group.

In 1995 Anna was named the International Tennis Federation's Junior World Champion; the following year, she went pro.

Anna's favourite film is 'Austin Powers'

Her favourite foods are 'Steak' and 'Sushi'.

Anna is a big fan of Madonna.
